Meet our Tamale Team

Rachel Vogt

Sales and Accounting

Rachel Vogt founded the company with her husband Sean Vogt in 2007 (although the product has been around much longer).  Currently she is our accounting office along with the many other duties that come with running a small family company.  Prior to working in XLNT Foods she enjoyed a career in the restaurant industry.  The jump to food manufacturing has allowed her to pursue a passion for food and work with her husband.  She has a B.A. from Davidson College in N.C.  Also she makes a mean vegetarian chili.

Research & Development

I was born in the year nineteen hundred and eighty. I've lived in WI, MI, IL, TN and CA. I attended University of TN to have fun (mission accomplished). I attend Tusculum College to get a degree (mission accomplished). After school I moved to CA to eventually marry my girlfriend (mission accomplished) and work in the movie industry (mission failure). I now work for XLNT foods, along with my wife, selling the best tamales in southern -CA.

Brittany Vogt

Customer Service

Brittany started work with the company in August 2009 as the office manager and customer services coordinator.  She has a BA from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania where she graduated magna cum laude, and has several years experience in organization and administration as a community outreach coordinator. She has been involved in family business for many years, helping her family run a small bakery and then launch a bed and breakfast  in Jonesborough, TN. Now she is working with more family at XLNT.  She likes cooking from scratch, world traveling,  theatrical costuming, and llamas.
